VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATIONS

Renee Davidson is the Vice President of Communications at Brady, where she leads strategic and digital communications and media and public relations. Renee previously served as Brady’s Director of Digital Strategy. Prior to joining Brady, she was senior digital editor at Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Under Renee's leadership, Brady has won Cannes Lions, Shortys for Good, MarCom Awards, Webby Award honors, a One Show Merit Award, and more. Throughout her career, she has earned several Shorty Awards and shortlists, EXCEL Awards for social media and web, a Social Media Award by Network for Good, and nominations for the Women's Media Center's Social Media Award and Women's Information Network's (WIN) and Young Women of Achievement awards.

More importantly, Renee's work has ushered in landmark progress for a safer, more equitable America. At Brady, she has led large-scale communications campaigns that helped usher in historic funding for gun violence prevention research, win settlements for survivors of gun violence, and more. Prior to Brady, she helped develop the D.C. public transit system's historic, multi-year anti-sexual harassment PSA campaign, which has reached tens of millions of Metro riders and inspired similar PSA and reporting models in London and Ontario. Her media relations and digital advocacy efforts to amplify the voices of survivors of sexual assault were instrumental in winning major legislative and policy change in the nation's capital, including passage of the landmark Sexual Assault Victims Rights Amendment of 2014, now a federal model.

Renee has been interviewed by the Washington Post, NPR, FOX, Slate, CBS, FiscalNote, and Roll Call, among others. Her writing has been featured in Salon, Mic, Huffington Post, Ms. Magazine, Bitch Magazine, and more. She lives in the D.C. area with her husband, son, and collie. She spends her free time gardening, listening to pop culture podcasts, and talking to other toddler moms.
