Brady Legal, on behalf of Boston Police Officer Kurt Stokinger, brought suit against Armslist.com – the largest online marketplace for guns – for its facilitation of the sale of multiple firearms to a gun trafficker. Officer Stokinger was shot by one of these trafficked guns after a criminal drug dealer bought it from the gun trafficker. The lawsuit alleges that Armslist negligently enabled the sale of firearms to a gun trafficking operation and created an online marketplace that enables dangerous people to buy, sell, and obtain guns that they are otherwise legally prohibited from possessing.
